GO Speed Flying
This go speed flying video takes you on a tour flying at many sites, conditions and the use of different flying techniques while performing this awesome and relatively young sport. If you are new to speed flying our recommendation is to take it slow, this sports involves many aspects and variables that you need to have in consideration in order to do it safely and with right outcome every time.
Being a skydiver or a paragliding pilot does not automatically qualify you to perform safely at it, although it helps quite a bit speed flying is its own ANIMAL, and should be treated as such until you have acumulated a good amount of experience.
We recommend to be very mindful of the conditions and the site your about to fly including its surroundings, always be sure about what you are doing don’t gamble, give yourself a chance to really scout the site, plan your flight line, alternate landing areas and the most important be very aware of the atmospheric conditions, temperatures, and especially the wind.
Atmospheric conditions can mean a world of difference between a successful flight or an accident, in this case if you feel like the conditions are not quite right for your level of experience, the type of site that you are flying in, its always better to put your flight on stand by until they get better, or just cancel for that day. There will always be an opportunity to fly next time if this is the mindset and idea that its applied when in this type of situations.
Lastly its always a good idea to have protection, helmet, back brace, elbow and knee pads, gloves, and hi-top hiking shows, this type of gear will provide a felling of extra security and in case of any type of misfortune they will protect you and most likely enable you to walk away and come back another day.
Enjoy, fly smart and go speed flying.
